Let’s get the exciting stuff done first (no it’s not the imminent return of the Pitkin’s), there were two DRR marriages over the last couple of days. Firstly, on Friday Rob Starnes and Carina Moxham tied the knot and then on Saturday Rebecca took pity on Sam Fullilove, he celebrated his good fortune with some impressive dancing. Congratulations to you all and we hope you have many years of happiness together.
Just a reminder that the evening commences at 19:30 with carriages at midnight. There will be a disco, live band and a compressed prize giving this year which should allow more time for socialising.
KFL at Betteshangar _ formerly known as Fowlmead
For those that recover in time from the DRR Christmas party then there is the next round of the KFL to look forward to on Sunday. We have been asked to advise that there are ongoing works and changing facilities are somewhat rustic. Please car share where possible and be aware car parking charges apply. Postcode CT14 0BF
I know we requested this before but anyone wanting to be added to the London Marathon waiting list can you please let us know. We have Alex Cooper and Gerard McDaid but know there were others. The draw will be made on the Mince Pie run night.
Mince Pie Run
18th December sees the 2018 Mince Pie run, this is always something random and Brian has been heard to use the word “fun” when describing this year’s event. There will be a free mince pie for all those taking part. We will then gather at the club house bar for refreshments (not free) where the draw for the new entrants to the DRR London Marathon ballot will take place.
